Hi everyone, this is Hiroaki Nishihara
Thank you for checking out my blog, today I was struggling to think of something to write today....so I introduce a bit of my background.
As you can notice from my name, I am not originally from Australia.
I was born in Osaka, Japan, has anyone been there before? Anyway, I am from there and I still love my home town although I have been living on the Gold Coast for 10 years.
Actually, I had lived in Europe (Switzerland & UK for 5 years) before I coming to Australia, so I've only lived in Japan for 15 years. I came to Australia for university and that's where I studied both Multimedia and Film & TV.
While studying at university, I was lucky enough to receive Australian permanent residency and decided to complete a post graduate degree.
If I didn't get that I wouldn't be here today writing a blog to you, I would be in different country and might doing something totally different.
So to make my story short (as I am not a really good writer anyway!!) I worked for a Japanese Film and TV production company located on the Gold Coast for 4 years as a line producer before ESENCIA.
These 4 years were so much fun and I have traveled all over Australia, New Zealand and even Nauru to make TV commercials and documentaries.
Everyday film and video making is such an adventure for me and will continue to be!
I love every part of it although it can be sometimes stressful and great time pressure, however I have learned so much about Australia throughout these experiences and it really makes me appreciate this country more.
Since starting my own production company on the Gold Coast, I always wanted my passion in film and TV to allow me me to produce something which would suite any small or medium sized business.
